Featuring a fully refined anatomical design to make find your correct size and width even easier than before (heat molding no required), improved construction and performance-level materials, the Motion is Bont Cycling's most accessible model yet.

The all-new Motion features a lightweight three-strap Velcro retention system, anti-stretch microfibre upper and improved bumper protection designed to withstand the rough and tumble of everyday cycling. Micro-mesh upper forefoot inserts, combined with specifically placed ventilation ports provide breathability across all seasons.

Employing a revamped fibreglass base construction and harnessing Bont Cycling's renowned anatomical design philosophy, the Motion is the most comfortable, efficient, durable and anatomically correct platform currently available at this price point. The Motion is finished with a three-hole Micro Grid and is compatible with all major road and indoor bike pedal and cleat arrangements.

Motion is not heat moldable. Due to a revised anatomical design, the Motion is not designed to be heat molded and is ready to ride straight out of the box.

    I was looking for more toe room and a less stiff sole as compared to my Bont Helix. The Bont Motion was the ticket! At such a good price there was little risk in ordering the wrong size; Bont’s new online size guide was easy to follow. I went from 43 on the Helix to 44.5 on the Motion. They fix my foot perfectly, I measure 270mm long by 103mm wide. In this case I was looking for comfort all around and especially in the toe area. The Helix is a more secure fit, perhaps better for racing. The Motion is a more relaxed fit, perhaps better for long distance, which is my focus. The Motion is not as stylish but looks good. The materials are not super fancy but I think the upper has more ventilation and also the surface will shed dirt better.

    I got these as a spare pair for wet weather but they are better quality and more comfortable than my $300 Italian brand .....its Bont from now on !!!!!!!

    Due to a severe motor vehicle accident I am forced to ride a trainer. These shoes are perfect. I have had multiple brands of cycling shoes over the last 35+ years and way more expensive shoes, but these are great at any price. Comfortable and well built. 2 thumb's up!

    Where have you been all my life?

    Bless Bont for making these shoes. Seriously. I've got big, wide-ish feet, and I've been doing my best with regular-shaped 49s from a big-name manufacturer for the past 20 years. But my feet always hurt, especially in the toes, and especially as the ride goes on. I had resigned myself that this was always going to be a part of the cycling experience for me, especially since I ride on a budget and can't afford super high-end shoes. But this year I discovered Motion, and the shoe has already changed my cycling life. Can't wait to start doing longer rides pain-free as the weather warms up (and to have a little extra room for warm socks when it gets cold again!).

    I’ve been wearing narrow shoes my whole life even when I bought wide, I used the size guide and went from 42.5 in specialized to 44.5 in Bont, the shoe accommodates my EE size foot in a standard perfectly. The Velcro isn’t bad, if you have an odd shaped foot it offers customizability in the fit. I would say a 44 would have been better but that it’s fine with insoles. Shoe quality is superb. There is definitely shipping issues to be ware of and shipping is overpriced in my opinion but you can’t buy these just anywhere.I thing DHL would have been a better choice from my experience buying cycling gear shipping from China hence the 4 and not 5 stars. I would definitely consider a higher shoe now that I know my size.

NEW SIZING METHOD

To find your Bont Cycling shoe size, download and print our all-new sizing page in A4 or Letter and follow the instructions exactly as listed. Mark with a straight edge your longest toe and widest part of your foot. Double check the length and width with a ruler to confirm your measurements. Be advised, this is a newly developed sizing page so please send any feedback to our team by clicking the red 'speech bubble' in the corner of the page.

ORIGINAL

To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall. Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall. Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot. For the most effective longest toe measurement, your heel should lift off the ground slight. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, mark the widest points of the inner and outer edges of your feet. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimeters. Repeat this step for both feet.

Once the measurements have been taken, use the Foot Length Range on the size chart to find your size. The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.

Following selection of your size in EU or USA, move downward to select the most appropriate width. We recommend adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 and your feet measure 105mm (left) and 107mm (right) wide, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Range. If your feet measure wide than 109/110mm (size 45/10.5) you should consider Wide fit.

NOTE: The stated size width range does not reflect the actual width of the shoe. Bont Cycling shoes are designed with structural support throughout the entire length including the forefoot and as such, the measured shoe width is designed to appropriately support the foot within the shoe. The width of the shoe will almost always be narrower than your foot which is intentional in order to provide the necessary support.

Please also keep in mind Bont Cycling shoes are designed around an anatomically correct last suitable for cycling however, this does not mean they are built in the 'bare foot' running shoe style.
