    Great for Gravel

Posted by Ruben Silva on 22nd Apr 2023

After doing the initial heat molding process and using my own orthopedic insoles. These shoes are very comfortable. I’ve done about 500+ miles of gravel and on the trainer and there is no issues. Easy to clean and holding up to the rigors of gravel riding.

    Best fit ever

Posted by Jason on 6th Apr 2022

I have some issues with tendonitis in my toes. Other cycling shoes compress my toes causing worsening discomfort. I purchased a wide width and the tendonitis has resolved. I ride 8-12 hours a week. Very happy with my purchase. The quality and durability are clear to see.

BOA and heat moldable for under $200!!

Posted by Travis on 5th Mar 2022

I was able tp pick these up on sale during the holidays. I did a heat holding at home, but not sure if I really needed to. The soles are very still and do not flex at all. I have ridden with these about a half a dozen times so far and they've been great. I love the BOA fit system. Most of my rides with these have been in colder weather and I've had zero issues with cold feet. Time will tell when the temps rise.

    Poor outer materials

Posted by Josh on 6th Feb 2022

These began to fall apart only a couple rides in, particular the outer rubber and plastic bits. I imagine I will be able to keep them serviceable for a while but I was very disappointed in how quickly they got beat up. Obviously I don't spend much time walking in them so I surprised to find the soles get torn up right away. Disappointing since they are one of the few options in the market for wide feet.

shoes are awesome. measurement process not bulletproof.

Posted by Pierre-Yves Gervez on 9th Aug 2021

I went through the measurement process and ordered 39 normal width, following the process, as advised. result when I got the shoes: the length felt a tad short, maybe 5mm left in front of toe. the width felt also a bit narrow. sending them back, already ordered the next size in wide. reviews are useless with statements such as "shoes are a great fit", and no size info the shoes look just like in the pictures, they should be very good.

    Great fit for wider foot.

Posted by Josh on 7th Jul 2021

The traditional "European" philosophy on cycling shoe design is problematic for real-world foot size. I have always had trouble with "Morton's Neuroma" or hot-spots from my cycling shoes. I finally realized the shoe width was crowding my feet together and putting pressure on my nerves, causing foot pain. These shoes (I bought the road version as well) resolved this issue. I have not heat-treated these yet and they are adequately comfortable. These are great shoes. I love the unique color, as well.

    Great value shoe

Posted by Donkirkwood on 16th Feb 2021

I’ve ridden this shoe for more than a year. It is comfortable and easy to slide into. Like all my Bonts (I also own a road Bont shoe), I did not need to heat mold it as it was already very comfortable and fit my foot well. Sizing seems accurate!

Misleading Sizing Guide and Painful Reality

Posted by Frank Snyder on 17th Nov 2020

I wanted very much to like these shoes. Using Bont's Shoe Size Guide, I ordered the size (45) and width (standard) it stated after tracing my foot and using their chart. Upon arrival, I tried on the shoes and they seemed a bit snug in width, but I figured the heat molding process would correct this. It did not. There is also a raised section of sole on the outside (metatarsal guard?) that would pinch the outside of my foot upon load. Since I already heat molded them and installed cleats, exchanging them was not an option. I figured I needed the wide width to accommodate my feet, so I ordered the 45 wides. While these felt like a better width fit for me, that metatarsal guard on the outside of the sole did the same pinching under load making these shoes unbearably painful to wear while riding. I'm now stuck with two pairs of these shoes that I cannot wear and will likely be unable to sell after writing this review. Bont should revaluate their Shoe Size Guide to prevent future sizing errors, and reassess the metatarsal guard on these shoes as they hurt more than they help. I ended up buying a pair of Lake MX241 Wides which are easily the most comfortable shoe I've worn in my 30+ years of cycling.
