From a RAAM guy that has had custom shoes made, these are amazing products and give incredible value and comfort. No doubt the best out there right now.

I've raced Triathalon's for a few years now and have always had issues with pain in the balls of my feet that not only hurt my biking performance but also my running performance due to excruciating pain. After getting fed up with the pain and digging in, we found out that most cycling shoes were not near wide enough for my foot. This was causing my foot to flex over the top of the soles and damaging the plantar facia in the bottom of my feet. Then I found BONT! These shoes have been a lifesaver for me, they not only allowed me to cycle while my feet were healing from injuries, but now I can put in my long rides pain-free! I will say I did have to use the heat molding process to work out a couple of hot spots in the shoe, it does take a little elbow grease depending on how much you want to change them but it worked exactly as described! My only regret is 1) not ordering these shoes sooner and 2) having not saved up for a custom pair!

Best shoes I have purchased yet

Love these shoes! I ordered them to try to help with foot pain I get from a neuroma. The extra width in the toe box definitely helps. With the addition of an insole my rides are much more comfortable and enjoyable.

Very comfortable, light, stiff, and good looking! You can’t beat theses shoes, especially for the price! Gonna get another pair soon!

I was struck by a Nissan Altima going 60 - 65 mph while riding one day. It hit me in the back tire and my heel, destroying my bike and causing me to go through the windshield. The impact of the car on my heel actually shore the cleats to pieces right off of the Riot TR's I was wearing. Now I have to believe Jesus is the only reason I came out of that unscathed except for lacerations from the glass. That being said, my shoe kept the bones in my feet from being powdered, the carbon composite frame of this shoe is INSANELY strong. I was running again just 3 weeks after the accident. For the review: The shoe itself is great from a performance standpoint. I used to use an plastic shoe made by Venzo and it caused a lot of knee pain in my first few months of cycling. With no other changes to my ride position, I switched to the Riot TR's and the carbon composite transfer energy into the pedal some much better, I was able to push a lot more force into the pedal without any pain. Also the straps that hold your feet in place are very well made as well. They stay in place and do not loosen at all during the course of a ride (keep in mind my longest ride is 2 hours and 50 minutes going about 60ish miles.) The measurement grid on the bottom of the shoe is also nice to help with cleat placement.

Really wanted to like these shoes but after following the instructions and moulding them, there is a part of the insole in line with the cleat that becomes more pronounced and digs into your feet, so uncomfortable. I thought it was the cleats so I used shorter length screws, but it's not that at all, you can tell. Will stay away from Bont in future, been told now that their moulds are never equal, also are cheap quality for the price you pay. Sorry.

NEW SIZING METHOD
To find your Bont Cycling shoe size, download and print our all-new sizing page in A4 or Letter and follow the instructions exactly as listed. Mark with a straight edge your longest toe and widest part of your foot. Double check the length and width with a ruler to confirm your measurements. Be advised, this is a newly developed sizing page so please send any feedback to our team by clicking the red 'speech bubble' in the corner of the page.
ORIGINAL
To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall. Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall. Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot. For the most effective longest toe measurement, your heel should lift off the ground slight. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, mark the widest points of the inner and outer edges of your feet. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimeters. Repeat this step for both feet.
Once the measurements have been taken, use the Foot Length Range on the size chart to find your size. The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.
Following selection of your size in EU or USA, move downward to select the most appropriate width. We recommend adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 and your feet measure 105mm (left) and 107mm (right) wide, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Range. If your feet measure wide than 109/110mm (size 45/10.5) you should consider Wide fit.
NOTE: The stated size width range does not reflect the actual width of the shoe. Bont Cycling shoes are designed with structural support throughout the entire length including the forefoot and as such, the measured shoe width is designed to appropriately support the foot within the shoe. The width of the shoe will almost always be narrower than your foot which is intentional in order to provide the necessary support.
Please also keep in mind Bont Cycling shoes are designed around an anatomically correct last suitable for cycling however, this does not mean they are built in the 'bare foot' running shoe style.
