The hard plastic "tub" style soles are wide enough but after 4 (!!!) heat molding sessions the plastic edges still seemed hard and sharp feeling. I bought to Solestar insoles (an extra $100) and all is well now. Without the fancy insoles I probably would have sent these back.

Amazing game changer of a shoe for me. My feet have become wider and started to develop bunions. Cycling shoes and ski boots have been the final frontier for painful footwear for me. I can now scratch my cycling shoes off that list. It took me 5 times in the oven between rides to work out the pinch points, but they now fit and feel perfect. Now that I've done it once, I will definitely splurge for the Vaypors next time - mostly for the double Boa and for the weight savings.
This is the first shoe that fits perfectly the shape of my foot and doesn't crunch all my toes together on longer rides. Very stiff shoe which is fine for me (great power transfer) but something to bear in mind as it might not be for everyone. It's quite a simple shoe but it works well and is comfortable. Only thing I would point out is more ventilation for hotter climates would be better, that said I live in Miami and it's worked so far.
Always had issues with shows not wide enough. These tick all the boxes for me. Also, they adapt to the shape of your food the more you ride. Simply excellent. After I got these I also got the same in XC version for my gravel rides. To sum it up, wide, stiff and very high quality. Single boa not an issue what so ever. If I had to have one gripe, it would be micro adjustments on the BOA. When you want to loosen up, you have to undo and re-do. You cannot back up a click or two.
The shoe adapts perfectly to the foot, and it's very stiff, what makes it very confortable during the pedal stroke.
I own several pair of Bonts and my right foot is slightly bigger than my left foot and sometimes I would feel slight rubbing of my upper right foot by the end of a long ride with the regular Bonts; this shoe feels much better on the longer rides. Bont is my favorite of all the brands I own (about 6-7 brands).
As good as the Vaypor S at half the price. Awesome shoe and looks cool too
This is my first pair of proper cycle shoes and I love them! I wish I had switched over years ago. I wear "barefoot" shoes and other cycle shoes are too narrow. I had some issues with knowing which size to order but the support from Bont was great and I ordered their recommended size and haven't looked back.
I struggled with Shimano's sizing given my wide foot. Yet I didn't need a wide version for Bont - the standard version fits like a glove. I've been using it for almost a year now, and I have zero complaints about these shoes. They're awesome and a great value for your money.

NEW SIZING METHOD
To find your Bont Cycling shoe size, download and print our all-new sizing page in A4 or Letter and follow the instructions exactly as listed. Mark with a straight edge your longest toe and widest part of your foot. Double check the length and width with a ruler to confirm your measurements. Be advised, this is a newly developed sizing page so please send any feedback to our team by clicking the red 'speech bubble' in the corner of the page.
To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall. Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall. Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot. For the most effective longest toe measurement, your heel should lift off the ground slight. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, mark the widest points of the inner and outer edges of your feet. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimeters. Repeat this step for both feet.
Once the measurements have been taken, use the Foot Length Range on the size chart to find your size. The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.
Following selection of your size in EU or USA, move downward to select the most appropriate width. We recommend adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 and your feet measure 105mm (left) and 107mm (right) wide, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Range. If your feet measure wide than 109/110mm (size 45/10.5) you should consider Wide fit.
NOTE: The stated size width range does not reflect the actual width of the shoe. Bont Cycling shoes are designed with structural support throughout the entire length including the forefoot and as such, the measured shoe width is designed to appropriately support the foot within the shoe. The width of the shoe will almost always be narrower than your foot which is intentional in order to provide the necessary support.
Please also keep in mind Bont Cycling shoes are designed around an anatomically correct last suitable for cycling however, this does not mean they are built in the 'bare foot' running shoe style.
