    Overall, very pleased with these Vaypor+ particularly the way the carbon shell envelopes the foot. It gives a very strong feeling of attachment between the foot, the shoe and the pedal. They are a step up from my previous Gaerne shoes in terms of comfort, support and quality of the materials. However, at the end of a 180kms ride I got severe foot burn in my right foot which I was not expecting based on the wider toe box. I have not yet moulded the shoes in the oven which I hope will make the fitter even more correct. Since that ride I have been riding with the front BOAs a little looser and have not had a reoccurrence of the issue Gave 4 stars for finish quality as some of the cut-out of the holes in the upper leather was not completely finished

    Best cycling shoes so far. I'm on bigger and wider side of feet so these are perfect with the possibility of heat molding. Already own three pairs. Also the custom service is great. Thank you Bont!

    Waited quite a while for these shoes and have riden them about 1000 miles. The principal reason I went with Bont extra wide was to help with a hotspot on my left foot between 3-4th toes. I can say that while the shoes are not a miracle cure, I can atleast ride for 50-60 miles without the traditional shimano and sidi wide shoe pains. I tried em all. These shoes, like all ithers, are very stiff in the footbed and have a great tongue and heel cup. The double wire closure is great and lets me leave the front of the shoe loose while keeoing my heel in place. Durable and well built. Wish the insole was softer though. They stretch a bit and take on an odd shape in the toebox but I dont care. Giod ventilation. Would recommend.

    Title pretty much says it. I have dealt with foot pain for decades, because it just seemed to be the way it was (all top of the line shoes). The outside of my foot was always an issue. Why cycling shoes try to change the natural shape of your foot is beyond me. I guess foot binding is still a thing..? Taking my shoes off was always a huge relief, like taking ski boots off at the end of the day. Honestly the comfort was very strange at first (how sad is that). I did add some heat mold-able SOLE inserts for my higher arch, trimmed and tapered on the edges. All I can say is wow! Not only did they eliminate foot pain but some knee pain I would get on longer rides is gone as well. Quality is outstanding. If you ride a lot, do yourself and your feet a HUGE favor and get some BONTs!!!

NEW SIZING METHOD

To find your Bont Cycling shoe size, download and print our all-new sizing page in A4 or Letter and follow the instructions exactly as listed. Mark with a straight edge your longest toe and widest part of your foot. Double check the length and width with a ruler to confirm your measurements. Be advised, this is a newly developed sizing page so please send any feedback to our team by clicking the red 'speech bubble' in the corner of the page.

ORIGINAL

To find your size, place a piece of paper on a flat surface and place it directly up against a wall. Stand on the paper and ensure you have a 1mm gap between your heel and the wall. Plant your foot firmly on the ground and slowly roll your weight forward and onto the forefoot. For the most effective longest toe measurement, your heel should lift off the ground slight. Look down and take the measurement from the wall edge of the paper to your longest toe. Record the length. With your foot still in place, mark the widest points of the inner and outer edges of your feet. Measure the width across the widest part of your foot and record the number in millimeters. Repeat this step for both feet.

Once the measurements have been taken, use the Foot Length Range on the size chart to find your size. The Last Length measurements shown on the chart are the exact length of the last that we use to build the shoes. This correlates to the precise internal measurement of the shoe.

Following selection of your size in EU or USA, move downward to select the most appropriate width. We recommend adding 1mm to find the most appropriate width. For example, you are looking at a Vaypor S and have determined your best shoe size is 45 and your feet measure 105mm (left) and 107mm (right) wide, with an additional 1mm added, you would still fit within the Standard Range. If your feet measure wide than 109/110mm (size 45/10.5) you should consider Wide fit.

NOTE: The stated size width range does not reflect the actual width of the shoe. Bont Cycling shoes are designed with structural support throughout the entire length including the forefoot and as such, the measured shoe width is designed to appropriately support the foot within the shoe. The width of the shoe will almost always be narrower than your foot which is intentional in order to provide the necessary support.

Please also keep in mind Bont Cycling shoes are designed around an anatomically correct last suitable for cycling however, this does not mean they are built in the 'bare foot' running shoe style.
