Great shoe - even better with the new insoles

Posted by Hugh P on 16th May 2023

4th pair of Bonts, so I already knew what to expect (super stiff, unique fit, etc), but this was the first time ordering the new insoles. They are a great addition! I had contemplated going back to Shimanos because of the better arch support and footbed feel, but with the new insoles (yea it’s a pain that it’s an added cost for a high end shoe), you get the additional footbed and arch comfort but same stiff and responsive feel. Will be ordering the insoles for my other pairs and would highly recommend them as an add on if you’re buying.

              great quality

I have Zeros and love them, so I decided for road to get these. The 42.5 fits just a bit different than the Zero model. I'm hoping the snuggness goes away with some wearing them because I really like the shoe.

              The best shoes. Period.

I’ve been racing and cycling for over 25 years. In 2020 I decided to get a pair of Vaypor S and fell in love with the fit and stiffness. So much so that I decide to get a second pair. This white in white version of the Vaypor S is just badass. The new Boa Li2 is even easier to work than the previous version. Do yourself a favor and don’t hesitate to get a pair of the best shoes for cycling.

              Awesome shoes

Ordered the Asian Fit Vaypor S shoes with Speedplay specific drilling. They fit great and I am impressed with how connected I feel to my pedals now since the cleat stack height is so much lower. Thankfully, Bont still makes the Speedplay drilling (I think it is the only company still doing this). Also like the carbon "bathtub" sole. Definitely the most unique shoe I've ever had.

STIFF AND PAINFUL AF (For a While)

Posted by Allen Mejia on 25th Oct 2021

Stiff and Solid. It's painful in the feet but after the mold. It's my permanent shoes. One of the best shoes ever.

              Contrary to popular belief

Posted by Dontcrywolff on 23rd Jul 2021

Contrary to popular belief these are not great shoes. Craftmanship is nigh on terrible. Fit on these shoes is horrid, they put a bubble right next to your arch which leaves a giant empty space there that begs for added support. The soles are too thin and you can feel them flex, as well as the metal t-nuts moving below the ball of your foot. My soles started to crack from the vent holes they drill into them and I'm only 140 lbs. I waited 3 months to get mine. Save your money and time, don't buy into the hype.

              World class cycling shoes.

Stop shopping around, you got here the best cycling shoes in the world. Nothing beats the Vaypor S. Absolutely love the bathtub carbon monocoque chassis. The foot are extremely well supported, power transfer is amazing all of this while being super comfortable. Remolding in the over at home is also an incredible feature. I was able to get the perfect fit after one remolding. Highly recommend!!!

              might be your shoe

Posted by Sam on 3rd Jul 2021

They look well crafted. And a good looking shoe. Impressively low stack in the foot bed. Just a beautiful design. But they pinched my arches, especially in the right foot. Uncomfortable to stand in them after cinching them down. This may have been resolved by the heat molding process. But it was too risky to heat them, make them mine, and hope the discomfort would go away. Maybe I'll try again after a couple more design iterations.
