I wore Bont shoes for 5 years. I was pretty happy with them and decided to on custom because I have different size feet and shape issues. They sent the package and you have to take the fit kit to a professional (eg, podiatrist). That adds about $150 & then there is a $50 shipping fee back to China. The stocking kit they sent was the wrong size and the wrote to tell me that they couldn't make the shoes and would send me a new kit at a $50 cost plus the shipping back. No acknowledgment that they had made a mistake or any concession. After I declined they sent a new kit anyway with a much larger stocking. Here was their response regarding their poor: "Unfortunately we do not believe we are able to provide a service or product that will meet your expectations." Yep, that's right. My expectations were that for over $1,000 they would actually send the right kit and I would be able to have the shoes made. Note that I was willing to pay for the additional podiatry visit. Note that they also said: "Please be advised all full custom customers, including yourself, are provided with an initial email explaining that the casting should be performed by a trained professional. That said, we do have many of our full custom customers and athletes who perform it at home themselves. However, we will look to update our online store to ensure full custom customers are fully aware of the process involved prior to purchase." They have not updated their information. Buyer beware.
